Microbiome Alliance for Disease Prevention (MADP) values and advocates ONE Health.
ONE Health encourages collaborative efforts across various sectors and disciplines, including human medicine, veterinary medicine, environmental science, and public health. It is a global initiative that focuses on preventing health issues by addressing the root causes and promoting healthy ecosystems.
Human health is interconnected with the health of soil, plants, animals, and the environment. Microorganisms play a crucial role in maintaining the health and balance of these ecosystems.
Microbial communities constantly cycle having a vital influence on the health of the SOIL, which then influences the health of the PLANTS, and then the health of the ANIMALS ~ all influencing the health of HUMANS – highlighting the interconnectedness.
They are codependent for health – they are ONE Health.
