Lise Alschuler, ND, FABNO, EMBA is the new president and CEO, effective July 2025, of Sonoran University of Health Sciences. Dr. Alschuler is a leader in integrative medicine and distinguished naturopathic physician.  She is the institution’s fourth president and first female president, and succeeds Dr. Paul Mittman who is retiring after 25 years of dedicated service.

 Dr. Alschuler served as Associate Director of the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Arizona. She holds an undergraduate degree from Brown University, a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University, and an Executive MBA from Quantic University.  She is board certified in naturopathic oncology and practices naturopathic oncology out of Naturopathic Specialists, LLC.

 Dr. Alschuler is past-President of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and a founding board member, Past-President and current Board member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

 She is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions including 2014 American Association of Naturopathic Physicians’ Physician of the Year and the Sheikh Zayed International Award in Naturopathy in 2020. She has been an invited speaker to more than 300 scientific/medical conferences, has authored dozens articles and book chapters, has been an investigator on several research studies and co-hosts a weekly podcast.

 In 2023, Dr. Alschuler completed an executive Masters of Business degree from Quantic University. Dr. Alschuler has co-authored two books, Definitive Guide to Cancer, now in its 3rd edition, and Definitive Guide to Thriving After Cancer. She envisions a world where all individuals with disease are offered personalized integrative care and are empowered to live exuberant and meaningful lives.
