We value and promote ONE Health

MADP Alliance for Disease Prevention was founded on the core principles of precision medicine and the microbiome as a vital cornerstone of health. MADP supports and advocates ONE Health – WHO/CDC One Health Initiative.

ONE Health encourages collaborative efforts across various sectors and disciplines, including human medicine, veterinary medicine, environmental science, and public health.  It is a global initiative that focuses on preventing health issues by addressing the root causes and promoting healthy ecosystems.

Human health is interconnected with the health of soil, plants, animals, and the environment. Microorganisms play a crucial role in maintaining the health and balance of these ecosystems.

Microbial communities constantly cycle having a vital influence on the health of the SOIL, which then influences the health of the PLANTS, and then the health of the ANIMALS ~ all influencing the health of HUMANS – highlighting the interconnectedness.  They are codependent for health – they are ONE Health.

MADP Farm to Health: Food as Medicine Initiative: Preventing NCDs

MADP’s Farm to Health food as medicine reflects our commitment to precision nutrition and the role of whole, nutrient-dense foods in preventing noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).

We value regenerative farming practices and collaborate with partners such as Joyce Farmsa national leader in regenerative agriculture – to support sustainable food systems that promote both human, animal, soil, and environmental health.

Grounded in the One Health framework, this initiative recognizes the connection between soil health, food quality, and long-term wellness.  MADP continues to expand partnerships, education, and research to advance this important work.

Healthy soil.  Healthy food.  Healthy people.  ONE Health.

“The health of soil, plant, animal and man is one and indivisible.”

~ Eve Balfour, Founder, The Soil Association, 1946.
